24 Hours of Le Mans 2022: Toyota claims fifth overall victory

Toyota Gazoo Racing has secured its fifth overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, leading the race from start to finish.

Porsche GT Team secured the GTE Pro class victory, while JOTA claimed the LMP2 class win and Dempsey-Proton Racing emerged victorious in the LMGTE Am class.

The 90th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans took place over the weekend and witnessed several thrilling battles across all classes. Toyota Gazoo Racing's #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, driven by Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa, led the race from the start and maintained its advantage throughout the 24-hour endurance challenge.

Porsche GT Team's #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19, driven by Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen, and Laurens Vanthoor, secured the GTE Pro class victory. JOTA's #38 Oreca 07 Gibson, driven by Roberto Gonzalez, Antonio Felix da Costa, and Will Stevens, emerged victorious in the LMP2 class.

In the LMGTE Am class, Dempsey-Proton Racing's #77 Porsche 911 RSR-19, driven by Christian Ried, Sebastian Priaulx, and Harry Tincknell, claimed the class win. The race was marked by several safety car interventions and retirements, adding to the drama and excitement of the event.
