Head Coach Expresses Disappointment After 40-17 Defeat
Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett was visibly frustrated after his team's 40-17 loss to Alabama on Saturday. The defeat was the Bulldogs' third in a row and dropped their record to 5-5.
Arnett's Post-game Press Conference
In his post-game press conference, Arnett did not hold back his disappointment. "I'm frustrated," he said. "We didn't play well enough today. We didn't execute. We didn't make the plays we needed to make." Arnett said that his team was outplayed in all phases of the game. "Alabama is a great team, but we didn't give ourselves a chance to win today," he said.
Remaining Games
Mississippi State still has two games remaining in the regular season. The Bulldogs will host Arkansas on November 12 and travel to Ole Miss on November 25. Arnett said that his team is focused on finishing the season strong. "We have to learn from our mistakes and get better," he said. "We have two more games to play, and we want to finish the season on a high note."
